José Gerson de Sousa

Born in Fortaleza, Ceará, on April 3rd, 1985, Gerson grew up in the heart of Jijoca de Jericoacoara — the place he still proudly calls home. From a young age, he was fascinated by audiovisual equipment. At just 16, he got his first video camera, and that moment changed everything. Over the years, Gerson explored other regions of Brazil in search of new experiences, always bringing fresh perspective to his work. Between January 2016 and December 2024, he led the marketing efforts for the Municipality of Jijoca de Jericoacoara, while also producing a wide range of audiovisual projects — from institutional and corporate videos to wedding films and personal documentaries. With passion, vision, and roots grounded in Jeri, Gerson now brings his storytelling talents to the Surfin Sem Fim crew — capturing the magic behind every journey.
