About the route
A combination of the Classic and the Delta routes, covering 550 km of coast—the most spectacular stretch of Brazil’s shoreline for kitesurfing. It really is a dream!
Day by Day
November 30: Check-in at Taíba.
December 1: Kitesurf from Taíba to Guajiru via Paracuru and Lagoinha. A great wave day. Distance: 60 km.
December 2: Kitesurf from Guajiru to Icaraí de Amontada. Another solid day of waves. Distance: 55 km.
December 3: From Icaraí de Amontada, kite through rivers and mangroves all the way to Arpoeiras. Distance: 55 km.
December 4: Arpoeiras to Preá: a beautiful flat-water day. Overnight at the charming Rancho do Peixe. Distance: 40 km.
December 5: From Preá, kite around the Serrote in Jericoacoara, then ride an offshore-wind section to the Guriú River. Stop for sandwiches in Tatajuba, cross the Camocim River, and finish at Maceió beach (12 km past Camocim). Strong winds expected. Overnight at Vila Zen Hotel. Distance: 60 km.
December 6: Kitesurf from Maceió to Barra Grande, crossing from Ceará into Piauí. Overnight at Pousada Titas. Distance: 52 km.
December 7: From Barra Grande, kite around Luís Correia harbour and pause at Pedra do Sal for a snack. Cross the Parnaíba River and arrive at the stunning Ilha dos Poldros, where you’ll spend the night in a unique, natural-paradise hotel. Distance: 55 km.
December 8: Cross the entire Parnaíba Delta from Ilha dos Poldros to Tutoia: a day of pristine nature, with both waves and flat sections. Overnight at Pousada Jagatá. Distance: 60 km.
December 9: From Tutoia to Atins, kite alongside the Pequenos Lençóis and into the mouth of the Preguiças River at Atins—the gateway to the Lençóis Maranhenses dunes and freshwater lagoons. Overnight at Pousada Jagatá. Distance: 60 km.
December 10: Check-out in the morning. We strongly recommend spending a few extra days exploring Atins if you can.
