About the route
The Iron Man route is for Kite Ironmen and Women. It`s tough but incredibly beautiful! You kite for 600 kilometers in 7 full kiting days, from Cumbuco (near Fortaleza) to Atins, beginning of Lençóis Maranhenses. We have 6 great sailing days.
Now there is the possibility of going for another 2 days to São Luis. Sail 780km by sea. (Fortaleza airport to São Luís airport).
Day by Day
Day 1 – Check in at Cumbuco.
Day 2 – We kite from Cumbuco to Guajirú, a very good day with waves.

Day 3 – Navigation from Guajirú to Icaraí de Amontada. Another good day with waves. 70 kilometers of coast
Day 4 – Navigation from Icaraí to Preá. A flat day. This night we sleep at the beautiful Rancho do Peixe 110 kilometers of coast
Day 5 – A big day, all the way from Preá to Barra Grande. We cross from the state of Ceará to the state of Piauí. Sleep at pousada Titãs, next to BGK.

Day 6 – Kite from Barra Grande to the stunning Ilha dos Poldros. A relatively short day (buit very challenging), when we cross from the State of Piauí to the state of Maranhão, and things get more intense. The Poldros Island is a nature paradise, in the beginning of the Parnaíba river delta. There, you get a small taste of the Amazon 60 kilometers of coast, big waves…
Day 7 – We save the best for the last. It is a long and amazing day, when we cross the Parnaíba Delta, and arrive in Tutoia at Pousada Jagata`, amazing day of Delta
Day 8 the beginning of the Lençóis Maranhenses. Beautiful waves, some buttery flat sections, and a very rich scenery. The arrival in Atins, the Preguiça River Mouth, is one to remember 70 kilometers of coast
Day 9 – Check out
We recommend enjoying Atins for a few days, after the route. We can organize that for you.

Day 9 – We kite from Atins to Mairi 70 kilometers of coast of beautiful cenario and great waves, perfect for kitewave/Surfinsemfim. 70 KM
Day 10 – We kite from Mairi to Sao Luis, very challenging and beautiful final day arriving to the big city! 100km

Included
Most routes will include a photographer! They will establish their own rates and prices at the beginning of the trip.
Stays in the most charming hotels in the region. They are seaside hotels, with all the essence that Terra do Vento has.
During the route, kiters are provided sandwiches, fruit, cereal bars, water, Redbull, and gatorades – more fuel for the rest of the ride!
There will always be captains and natives guides in the water with our kiters; ensuring safety, reliability, and a great time!
Leave it up to us! Our logistics team makes sure that every trip runs smoothly, getting our guests and their things exactly where they need to be.
Each trip is accompanied by a support vehicle. If anything goes wrong or there is a need to leave the water, our ground support team is there for you!
When all else fails, don’t worry! We have a SOS system in place that will bring help to us anywhere, anytime.
We make sure to keep all of our kiters fresh in new Surfinsemfim apparel at the beginning of the trip.
Once the route is completed, each kiter receives an honorable certificate of completion. Hang it on your wall and add it to your resume!
Not Included
Dinner is not included in the package.
Souvenirs, new equipment, or extra drinks and food are not included in the final price. Don’t let this stop you from enjoying yourself, feel free!
Transfers To and from the airport are not included, but we can help you organize your transfers and get you where you need to be.
We can’t book your flights for you, but we can help you with some good advice and lead you in the right direction!
