The History

HOW WAS SURFIN SEM FIM BORN?
One of the partners of Rancho do Peixe e Vila Kalango, Marco Dalpozzo, was greatly impressed about listening to stories of adventures and long downwinds done by the locals of Jeri. There he realizes: The kite, in addition to be a sport, can also be a transport vehicle with natural engine.
Thus, Marco has joined a crossing with natives and did his first downwind from Cumbucu to Preá.
He learned that the experience would not be a single shot, it would take more than a day and would be done by stages. Thereby, Marco starts to understand how work the logistic of long sea crossings and the spirit of Surfin Sem Fim begins to take shape.

WITH A BORD ON THE FEET AND A KITE IN THE SKY…
Then Marco invites Jalila Paulino, to help materialize the dream and organize kite surfing expeditions through the land of wind, with all safety, high standard structures and services.
With the company of his French friend Vincent, Air France pilot, they spent days studying the map of the northeastern Brazilian coast – where the wind is a constant factor, as villages and possible routes to advance in the crossings. The name Surfin Sem Fim comes up, followed by the brilliant idea of surfing waves downwind for hundreds of miles. The project scope is ready, and friends made analogies with flight operations and its hierarchies such as captain, co-pilots, crew, tower command support and difficulty levels.

THE FIRST ADVENTURES?
We invited professional athletes, kite surfers passionate for adventures and counted on the natives support and wisdom to carry out the first declared expedition. Guilly Brandão, Marcela Witt, Melissa Gil, Jalila Paulino and the natives Wanderson Sousa and Felipe made up the team.
We’ve recorded the first images of the expedition, as discoveries and conquers by the sea. It was magical, epic, unforgettable, something that intensely touched our emotions. The need to share with others what we saw and felt became a formatted product, one that can’t be kept, only carried in the soul. Thus, begins a second stage of the dream, with a dive even deeper into the maps and the discovery of new possible routes. This team, was reinforced by Mitu Monteiro, Cape Verdean world kite surfer legend and Rodrigo Minotauro, UFC fighter who finds balance in the kite to perform his profession.

Then Captain André Penna, our ‘’Indiana Jones’’, an enthusiast of crossings and thirsty for discoveries joins the adventures.
