The captain of Surfinsemfim itself, Italian born Marco Dalpozzo is the visionary that brought this wonderful experience to life. His passion for kiting, nature, exploring, and belonging has brought many people together from all over the world, to experience something unforgettable! He loves the challenge, so you’re sure to find him as the captain of the Iron Man or Ultra Man routes!
Welligton Franco

Wellington has been riding the wind for over 15 years, and for the past 6, he’s been fully dedicated to the art of hydrofoil. A true adventurer at heart, in 2019 he completed a 518 km downwinder from Marudá (PA) to Macapá (AP) on a twin-tip, without any boat support. In 2021, he took on an impressive hydrofoil upwind from Macapá (AP) to Afuá (PA). The following year, he crossed from Chaves (PA) to Macapá (AP) in just 2 hours and 21 minutes. In 2023, he made his dream come true: a survival-style kite journey from Natal (RN) to Macapá (AP), covering an epic 2,612 km. And in 2024, he set off solo once again — this time from Chaves (PA) to Bailique (AP), reaching the mouth of the Amazon River. Wellington is pure passion for the wind, the sea, and the endless horizon.
Andrade Vasconcelos

With 20 years of kitesurfing experience, Andrade is a true waterman and one of the most respected locals from Preá Beach. Son of a fisherman, he grew up with the wind and sea as his playground. Today, he’s a top-level coach specializing in strapless freestyle and wave riding, guiding riders to push their limits with style and flow. Ranked among the Top 3 athletes in the Brazilian national kitesurfing tour, Andrade brings not only skill but deep local knowledge and soul to every adventure.

André Penna

Before Surfinsemfim was born, there was Andre Penna. This is the guy that was spotted kiting (alone) along remote regions of Brazil’s northeastern coast, “just exploring”. As an advanced kiter and avid adventurer, it seems that Surfinsemfim and Andre were meant for each other! He is often a captain of the Surfinsemfim routes, he is one of our drone photographers, and he always has the best stories. Don’t miss out!

Another Brazilian native, Guilly Brandão sets the standard for quality kitesurfing. He is a 3x Kitesurf World Champion and continues to impress us in the water today. He captains many routes for Surfinsemfim, and also offers Kitesurf Coachings in various locations around the world. Don’t let this nice guy fool you, his ability in the water is mean!!
Eduardo “Rato” Fernandes

You’ll be lucky to find yourself kiting with Rato— a real surf legend. As a former professional surfer and avid water sportsman, he picked up Kitesurfing and he loved it! With an awesome sense of professionalism, Rato captains and co-captains some of the Surfinsemfim routes, delivering unforgettable experiences. Mitu Monteiro

1x World Champion – 3x Vice World Champ – Watermen Experience The man, the myth, the legend: Mitu! Straight out of Cape Verde, he has been kitesurfing since 2002 and has dominated the kitesurfing world in the wave riding discipline. A family man, and dedicated friend, Mitu always finds his way back to Brazil to enjoy another Surfinsemfim!
Beto Búzios

Living exclusively from the wind and the ocean for the last 21 years, Beto Buzios is one of the Kitesurf pioneers in Brazil. His specialty is to solve problems on the water, making sure that everyone overcome their limitations and gets to the most amazing destinations with a lot of fun!

A dreamer isn’t the right way to describe Vincent, but more as a Visionary. He was one of the founding fathers of Surfinsemfim, helping to explore the northeast of Brazil many years ago, when it was basically untouched. Now he’s back every year to enjoy an amazing project that he helped create: Surfinsemfim!
Gleison Monteiro

A native of Tatajuba – CE, Gleison Monteiro has been a kitesurf practitioner since he was 14 years old, with more than 20 years living the soul of this sport and knowing the world through his kite. Founder of SusetKiteBoarding, he is very familiar with the coast and good winds of Ceará and Maranhão. Gleison joins us bringing – in addition to impressive skills in the water – his energy and good vibes.

From the island of New Caledonia, Titouan Galea has always been into water sports and got introduced to kitesurfing through his dad, when he was 9 years old. He moved to France in 2016 to compete Kite Foiling, which he did until Wing Foiling came around, in 2020. A year later, he won the first ever World Championship Title and is now 100% dedicated to this new sport.

Chico Bento (Danilo Menezes da Silva)

Born and raised in the village of Jericoacoara, Danilo — better known as Chico Bento — is a true son of the wind and sea. A trained capoeira teacher and former professional windsurfer, he spent 9 years competing on the world tour (PWA and EFPT), proudly representing Jericoacoara and Brazil. Today, he rides the wind through kiteboarding and wing foiling, sports he embraced after a lifetime on the water — starting at just 6 years old.His journey across freestyle competitions has taken him to 25 countries and 5 continents, where he not only absorbed different cultures but also learned to speak English, Italian, and Spanish. Beyond the water, Chico also served his community as Secretary of Aquaculture and Fisheries, and later in Public Safety and Transportation, always committed to the growth of his hometown. He often says: "Sport is the greatest university in life." And we couldn’t agree more.
José Gerson de Sousa

Born in Fortaleza, Ceará, on April 3rd, 1985, Gerson grew up in the heart of Jijoca de Jericoacoara — the place he still proudly calls home. From a young age, he was fascinated by audiovisual equipment. At just 16, he got his first video camera, and that moment changed everything. With a keen eye and creative drive, he began filming homemade videos, which soon evolved into covering local events and telling the stories of his community through the lens. Over the years, Gerson explored other regions of Brazil in search of new experiences, always bringing fresh perspective to his work. Between January 2016 and December 2024, he led the marketing efforts for the Municipality of Jijoca de Jericoacoara, while also producing a wide range of audiovisual projects — from institutional and corporate videos to wedding films and personal documentaries. With passion, vision, and roots grounded in Jeri, Gerson now brings his storytelling talents to the Surfin Sem Fim crew — capturing the magic behind every journey.

A passionate storyteller behind the camera since April 1981, Rick Werneck has spent decades capturing the world through his lens. Since 2014, he has been creating powerful documentaries for television, using sports, travel, and culture as vehicles to tell the stories of remarkable people and places. Rick is also a musician and composer, producing the original soundtracks for all his films. His work is guided by a deep commitment to human and environmental evolution, always grounded in social and environmental responsibility, transparency, and integrity. Through his documentaries, Rick aims to inspire change, celebrate diversity, promote conscious tourism, and preserve culture, memory, and nature — one story at a time.
